Squat or NOT

Do you know how to properly squat? Yes! Great! No. Let's fix that! We can start with the basics.

  1. Stance - feet should be at least shoulder length apart. Do a quick jump in the air....yes a jump. You see where your feet land. Thats a typical position.

  2. Toes. Toes should point foward. wherever your toes go...your knees might follow. There are different variations of squats....we are going to stick with the basic.

  3. Hips. You want to push your hips back...like your reaching for an invisible toilet (LOL).

  4. Chest. Try your best to keep your chest up. Leaning to far over can strain your back. Especially if you are using a barbell!
